(Attention! This page is only for Civil Society Exchange Program and not Civil Society Exchange Partnership Program)

For Civil Society Organizations and Civil Initiatives

Your organization can be a social company, foundation, civil initiative, cooperative, or association. The only criteria is that it must be a non-profit entity which works for the common good from Turkey or another European country .

Which fields should your organization be active in to participate in the program?
We are seeking organizations working in ecology, gender, human rights, children’s rights, women’s rights, formal and/or non-formal education, urban development, discrimination, youth, or in other similar toiics. We encourage and accept entities from different fields to apply.

Within your organization, you need to identify an internal organizational issue that you would like to focus on. To facilitate capacity building, two representatives from your organization are expected to participate in the program.

* We look for long term, committed persons who are paid staff, members, or work on a voluntary level with the organization.

* Please consider that after the program, you are expected to implement the model you have developed in your organization.

* The working language of the program is English. Please make sure that you can communicate in English.

Establish a Partnership

Civil Society Exchange supports either new or existing partnerships between civil society organizations from Europe and Turkey. It enables them to work together on a common issue.

If you already have a partner organization in Turkey or vice versa, then we encourage you to get in touch with your partner and speak about the program.

Are you motivated? Do you have interesting ideas and would like to visit your partner organization to further those ideas? Or maybe with your partner organization you would like to visit others and learn from them. Then apply and indicate who your partner is. Please be aware that we ask every civil society organization to apply on its own, so please make sure that your partner also applies.

You don’t have a partner yet, but you are interested in creating a partnership? We will support you in finding a partner. Please apply and indicate that you are looking for a partner organization. You can contact us in advance while you are filling out your application so that we have more time to see if we can provide relevant contacts. If you apply without a partner, we will try to match you with a suitable partner when we select the participants.

Become an Exchanger

Civil Society Exchange is about mobility and capacity building. We want you to exchange. This means we offer you online and offline mobility opportunities. You will design this process according to your needs with your partner. This concerns the activities you are planning, the online meetings that you will be organising as well as the places where you would like to meet to work together on the issue/model which you have chosen. The main objective is that you are profiting from this process of mobility we provide you to work together. Either you visit each other or you plan a little residence program in one of your organizations, have meetings, study visits, job shadowings or other activities which would support you in the development of your model.

For the application, you need only first ideas about the internal organizational issue you want to work on. The opening meeting will then serve to define your problem and support you in coming together in working groups to explore it further.
